Qualifying Conditions

You don’t need any qualifying conditions in New York to obtain a medical card. Now, you can get medical cannabis treatment for any ailment. You need a certification from a New York state-licensed physician. 

Gone are the days when medical marijuana eligibility in NY was limited to a list of specific following conditions:

  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  • Autism
  • Cancer
  • Damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord
  • Dystonia
  • Epilepsy
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Huntington’s disease
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Neuropathies
  • Chronic pain
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Substance use disorder

Each patient must submit a copy of their medical documents (If you have any) to verify their diagnosis for us to verify eligibility and start the patient certification process.
